We, our, and us, when used in this notice, means Midwest Community Bank and its affiliates. This is our privacy notice for our customers. When we use the words “you” and “your” we mean the following types of customers:

  • Our consumer customers who have a continuing relationship by purchasing or holding financial products or services such as a(n):
    • Deposit account
    • Loan account
    • Safe Deposit Box
    • Self-directed Individual Retirement Account
    • Financial, investment of economic advisory services
    • Mortgage brokerage services

We will tell you the sources of the information we collect about you. We will tell you what measures we take to secure that information.

We first define some terms:

Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records. Hereafter, we will use the term “information” to mean nonpublic personal information as defined in this section.

An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.

A nonaffiliated third party is a person we do not employ or a company that is not an affiliate of ours. This is also known as nonaffiliated third party, or simply, an “other party.”

As financial service professionals entrusted with sensitive financial information, we respect the privacy of our customers and are committed to treating customer information responsibly. Our Consumer Information Privacy Policy serves as a standard for all our employees for collection, use, retention and security of individual customer information.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms such as: your name, address, social security number, assets, and income.
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others such as: your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions and credit card usage.
  • Information from a consumer-reporting agency such as: your credit worthiness and credit history.

We will not disclose information about you to anyone except as disclosed in this policy or as permitted by law. Examples of this might include disclosures necessary to service your account or prevent unauthorized transactions.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to only those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. Moreover, our employees have been instructed that such information must not be revealed to unauthorized persons, and that this information is not to be discussed with others within the bank unless the “others” involved require the information to perform their duties. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect your nonpublic personal information.

The confidentiality of your information will continue to be maintained consistent with this privacy notice even if you decide to close your account(s), your account becomes inactive, or when you otherwise cease to do business with us.

We may disclose the following information to other financial institutions such as: insurance companies and credit card companies with who we have joint marketing agreements:

  • Information we receive from you on an application or other forms, such as: name, address, social security number and telephone number.

These third parties must agree to strict confidential provisions to assure the protection of your information. Because we already limit the sharing of your information as outlined above, no action is necessary on your part to limit such sharing. We may disclose information about you to other financial institutions with who we have joint marketing agreements to provide you with information about additional products or services.
